Part 1: Early Morning Sunrise & Historic Ghoom Heritage

Depart at 4:00 AM towards Tiger Hill (8,482 ft) to witness sunrise casting golden hues over Mt. Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest on clear mornings. While descending back, stop at Ghoom Monastery to admire the Maitreya Buddha statue and continue to the scenic spiral track of Batasia Loop with manicured gardens and sweeping hill panoramas. Return to the hotel for a leisurely breakfast.

Part 2: Mountaineering Lore, Wildlife & Heritage Museums

Post breakfast, head towards the famous Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) and the adjacent Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park to view high-altitude Himalayan wildlife including Red Pandas, Tibetan Wolves, and Snow Leopards. After lunch, head toward the serene Jalapahar hill slopes to experience the tranquil drums at the Japanese Temple and climb the stairs of the Peace Pagoda for a bird’s-eye view of Darjeeling town. Afterward, proceed to Tenzing Rock to watch rock-climbing drills, and conclude your sightseeing through the sprawling green slopes of Happy Valley Tea Estate, learning how authentic orthodox Darjeeling tea leaves are harvested and processed.
